The Upper Lachlan Shire sits astride the Great Dividing Range in the southern tablelands of New South Wales.
It is at the headwaters of two very important water catchments, the Hawkesbury-Nepean and the Lachlan River.
The shire experiences the four seasons, with snow often seen on the hills and in the higher towns in winter. It is a very scenic and productive region.

Crookwell & Surrounding Villages
Crookwell boasts a relaxed lifestyle, coupled with excellent recreational facilities. Crookwell township's population is around the 3000 mark with an overall popualtion of around 7500 in the Shire.
The cool climate produces some spectacular gardens, which remain ablaze with colour all year round with averages from -2 to 30c and some snow falls each year.
